God

We believe there is one living and true God, who is one in essence, while eternally existing in three distinct persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, our one and only Savior, who became a man, lived a sinless life, and by means of his substitutionary death paid the penalty for mankind's sin. He is the only way to restore our unhindered fellowship with God. He defeated death by rising from the dead on the third day after his death and sits at the right hand of God awaiting the time of His second coming.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who is an active and operative part of the triune God and is present in the world to lead the lost to Christ and the saved to become like Christ. He lives within all believers that they might bring glory to God.

John 14:26; 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-28 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14

The Bible

We believe that the Scriptures in all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, error-free in the original manuscripts, our only source of clear truth about God and His purposes and the supreme authority of faith and practice for followers of Christ.

Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35; John 1; Acts 1:16; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:7-14; 2 Timothy 3:14-17;  Hebrews 4:12

Man

We believe that mankind was directly created in the image of God to enjoy His fellowship and fulfill His purposes on earth. However, we believe that man willfully sins against God and is consequently lost, spiritually dead, and subject to the certainty of both physical and spiritual death apart from faith in Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 1:18-32, 3:23; 6:23

Salvation

We believe as the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV “For by grace you have been saved through faith.  And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Our faith is manifested by believing in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, and being baptized into Christ, and remaining faithful in our walk with Jesus. All of these are connected and none is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation. All who have faith in Him are declared righteous by the Father on the grounds of Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.

Matthew 10:32; John 1:12, 3:16, 14:6; Acts 2:38, 3:19; Romans 5:1-2, 6:1-7, 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 4:15

Church

We believe that Jesus is the head of the church, and all who are saved belong to this one true church which is His body; and are to associate ourselves in local churches.

Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:41-47; Hebrews 10:24-25; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27

ELDERS

We believe that Jesus Christ leads the local church through a plurality of elders who have been called, gifted, and appointed by Him. By seeking the mind of Christ, depending upon the Holy Spirit, and diligently examining the Word of God, the elders provide spiritual oversight and direction for the church. The qualifications of elders are character-based as defined in 1 Timothy and Titus.

Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4

CHRIST'S RETURN

We believe the next great event of human history will be the personal return of Jesus Christ. This is the blessed hope for which all those who love Christ yearn. While the exact time of Christ’s return is unknown, it is imminent and certain.
